From the airport/bus station:
Take the bus called Real to Leblon from outside the terminal. The name of the bus company is REAL (locals call it "frescão" Portuguese for "very fresh" - because of the air conditioning). Ask the driver to drop you at Rua Farme de Amoedo on the beach avenue. It will cost you some 7 reais and will take approximately one hour. The hotel Sol Ipanema" at the beach avenue is a good reference, but you will be at Rua Vinmcius de Moraes, which is also close to the hostel. Walk towards Rua Barão da Torre 175, house 5 (close to New Natural Restaurant). We are in front of the news agent.
